Muehehehe!

So I started reading the Dark Tower serie by Stephen King... and I'm totally hooked. It seems each time I remember why he's my favorite author, and why he inspires me so much. I read "Wolves of The Calla" first, which is the 5th installment, and fell in love with the characters at once! So I bought The Gunslinger (the first novel) and am currently reading the second book, "The Drawing of the Three."

So I couldn't help but make some fanart for The Gunslinger. Jake was too adorable at the beginning, and Roland sure has evolved since this novel, but I liked him all the same. I started drawing this before I finished the first book, so the Man in Black (Marton, or whatever his name is... ) isn't all the accurate in the sense that in the end, when he takes off his hood, Roland is disapointed to find a handsome man whose face is rather plain. But through the book, this was how I imagined him, especially because of the way he acted.

So I hope you enjoy ^^ It was fun to draw hehe Different from what I usually do too ^^

So I dedicate this to Mister King for so much inspiration over the years, and bringing me such joy with each read!

The Dark Tower, Roland, Jake, the Man in Black and all its concepts are (c) Stephen King

If you could be anything other than what you are now, what would you be? Would you be powerful? Rich? Beautiful? Would you regret changing who you are for a facade of something better?

*squee* Oh lovely, lovely Stephen King fanart :D Yay! Real nice work, I love your rendition of Roland. Sadly, I never got into the gunslinger series all that much, though I did read it. I won't spoil it for you, but I felt the ending was somewhat of a classic King cop-out XP I still have to get around to drawing some fanart for Insomnia, however, which I would recommend!

I can't draw guns. Asorted blades and blunt objects, yes, but not guns.

Oh no you le didn't. (staples to Favorites)

It's pretty awesome that you can read all but the final book out of order, and still get a lot out of it. I got in with the third book, and then read the first, half of the fourth, the second, all of the fourth, then the final three as they came out.
