I've been working on it on and off for a few weeks now, sometimes spending an hr, sometimes spending five minutes. But this week I sat down and actually spent a lot of time on it. Most of that time was used to sharpen the characters.
Why is it part 2? Well, the first part is here: [link]
In the current rp, Vaylen (my friend John's character) broke into Adrian (Killy)'s appartment, finding a load of paintings scattered lazily around. One of the paintings I described when he got in was this one. I ended up wanting to paint this.
It's a clear representation of what Killy would have hoped to have seen in the future had Susie survived. But there's a bunch of little details that don't add up, unlike with the first piece. Killy made a lot of choices to attempt to get his sister back. One of them is by leaving the Luna's Avatars and be trained by a Pure, Nathan. The tattoos he wears come from that training, as Pures show their progress through their tattoos. In this painting, Killy has those tattoos. If Susie had survived, he probably wouldn't have joined Nathan to become a Bale Hound. There would have been no need to. The other one, much less obvious because of the dpi I allowed on the site, are his eye colors. Adrian now has one brown and one green. Without going into too many details, Killy used to have brown eyes, Adrian green eyes. As a reminder of what he both represents, he has one green eye, and one brown eye. If Susie had survived, he wouldn't have forced his growth and taken Adrian's identity, and both his eyes would be brown. In this painting, he had a green and a brown eye.
So what does this imply? I'm talking as though Adrian/Killy did that painting... Does that mean that, deep down, Killy regrets nothing and would do it all over again regardless of Susie's survival or death? Does that mean that no matter how much he tries to make her alive, he can't undo what he's done?
There's a few details you don't see so well or at all because of the resolution here One of them is what is written on Killy/Adrian's shirt: DIE BRAT DIE! A funny pun I guess. Maybe he really doesn't wanna go back to being the innocent child he once was even though he seems to want to pursue that. Maybe it's even uncountiously driven toward Susie. You also don't see Sue's freckles Makes me sad.
Anyways... I disabled the critics. I don't do that often, but... I feel proud enough of this one. I know where my faults are and when I get the chance I'll try to forget them. if you have any... Send them out by note or something. I'll read it, don't worry.
Yeah I ALMOST did lol I was getting sick and tired of trying to sharpen their faces and failing miserably... So I brought my laptop to work and tried to work on it between calls... Somehow I saved it lol
It`s still in my gallery, but I ended up with little to no time on my hands at one point with two jobs and about 70 hrs per week... among other life events.
I might resume it over time I still have black and white not colored pages that could be added up.
