While in Wonderland she is Angel, Queen of Spades, in the real world, Angela Valentino is but a small young woman trapped in an asylum, tormented by orderlies and left there to die by her family over the will of her now dead parents. No matter how much she'll claim to be sane of mind, nobody listens - after all every patient will sing the same song like inmates would in a prison (I'm innocent!).

Despite some orderlies' attempts at breaking her, she keeps a determined and defiant stance, angering them further - one in particular has, in fact, become obsessed with her as the King of Spades has in Wonderland.
