So, as the title says, it's indeed been a while.
I haven't posted any actual fullblown art since late June, early July, but my reason is quite legit: my sweet baby girl. She's an angel like you wouldn't believe. Hardly ever cries, always smiling, does her nights (7 hours!) and is overall a pleasure to have around. The labor and birth were not easy but they were more than worth it. I don't know how I lived before she came along.
That being said, I miss drawing. I still do, but completing one piece is difficult and while I have a few that are partly done, none are finished and I admit I feel a bit discouraged. When I was in university, one of the teachers said that an artist needed to draw everyday or they would lose the touch. I wish he had not said that because it stuck around and now I'm afraid I may be losing my touch. Still, I push on. I'm gonna try to have something done before the end of October (lol!). I might ask one of the gramma's to babysit if that's what it takes but I WILL do it! lol
Otherwise, life's been good. I don't go out as much as I'd hope, but it's alright. It's been so hot this summer that staying in with the air conditioning was really the way to go with a newborn lol All this staying home and breastfeeding every 2-3 hours during the day has made it so that I watch more tv series now. I watched the whole series of Lost with my boyfriend this summer. I'm also in the process of watching Merlin and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, as well as Doctor Who. I had started Supernatural and now I'll definitely continue the series, especially now that season 6 is starting next week.
So anyways, any tips from DA mothers when it comes to drawing a little more? Would be greatly appreciated lol
I can't believe it's already been 3 months (well, almost)! I'm also working on a music compilation for the 90's, 00's and now I'll go year by year. This is for me, but also for my daughter in later years. I'm trying to pick up the best and leave the crap out. I'll post it here!
Anyways, better get going. Thanks for reading!
I miss you all!

Luv,
Maria
Good job!
But really, it´s a good thing you´ll let your kid be introduced to good music, they can always choose their musical preference later on anyhow, atleast this is some way to let them get ackquainted...
Well I remember I didn`t like my parents' music and I expect her not to like mine. Still, she'll have to deal with it on Saturday mornings LOL
Anyway, welcome back.
And yeah I guess it does come back. I think I'm more impatient than anything else lol
